What happens at Tasting Night.
- 1A glass of wine on the balcony. Meet Dina and the other guests, and hear how the 1878 Roth Drugstore became Fremin's.
- 2Taste the food. Chef Kevin walks you through the dishes your guests would eat, paired with wine.
- 3See the room and plan your night. See the upstairs set the way your night could look, then sit down with Dina and leave with a full quote.

Is it really free?
Yes, completely. Tasting Night is our treat for you and one guest. There's no charge for the food, the wine or the time with Dina, and nothing to put down to come. We'd rather you taste what your guests would eat and see the room before you decide anything.
Who should come?
You and whoever is helping you decide: your fiancé, a parent, a coworker, or whoever's opinion you'd want before you book. Each seat is for the planner plus one guest, so bring the person you'd be talking it over with anyway.
How long is it?
Plan on about 90 minutes. You'll start with a glass of wine on the balcony, taste the food with Chef Kevin, see the upstairs set the way your event could look, and finish with a one-on-one with Dina. Come at 6 PM and you'll be done by 7:30.
Do I have to book that night?
No. You'll leave with a full quote in hand, and you can take all the time you need. If you're ready that night, Dina can check your date on the spot. If not, she's happy to follow up whenever you are.
What if I don't have a date yet?
Come anyway. Plenty of people come to Tasting Night before they've settled on a date. Dina will walk you through which dates are open and what works best for the kind of event you're planning, so you leave with options instead of guesses.
How many guests can you host?
Upstairs seats up to 75 for a seated dinner or holds up to 125 for a reception, and the balcony adds room for about 40 more. Linens, china, glassware, setup and full cleanup are all included, so your night is handled from start to finish.
Where do I go?
Fremin's is at 402 West Third Street in downtown Thibodaux, in the building that's been there since 1878. Come in and head upstairs. There's parking on Third Street and the side streets, and if you have any trouble finding us, call the catering line at (985) 449-0633.
